Description
Written around 1769, Canons of the New Church contains five main themes: God; Jesus Christ; Redemption; The Holy Spirit; The Divine Trinity. The subject matter covers the same ground as the first three chapters of The True Christian Religion, and appears to have been written as a preparation for that work.
Along with the Apocalypse Explained, the Coronis and numerous other works, Swedenborg’s Canons of the New Church was found among his manuscripts. This volume marks its first English edition.
