Description
Swedenborg was an engineer to Charles XII of Sweden, helping to design and build a dry dock for the king’s navy at Karlskrona in 1716, which he writes about in the first of the two treatises published in this little booklet. In the second treatise, Swedenborg outlines a new way of constructing dams that had been devised by his mentor Christopher Polhem. This booklet comes with a Preface from the translator and illustrative drawings by Gustav Grenzlinger.
